For his latest work, Spectacles‘ Sean Nelson tries to interpret the dealings of modern curse, the rat race and its sure lopside where not everybody takes home the prize. For “Big” and the rest of the tracks making up his set, Spectacles explores the resulting feeling of subscribing into ”the crushing weight of an insipid and inescapable culture” yet eventually finding one’s own peace with his sole achievements. The instrumentalist takes upon renowned cultural icons, dice their vocals into snippets of narratives. Played out along trippy doses of bleeps and hisses, the track bounces all over the place with an important feeling of falling/ rising winsomeness. Not everyday I post this kind of music yet/so this one is indeed big.
